90 Days strategy for CAPF Examination 2017, Paper-1

Hello Everyone,
This is Abhilash Gairola Rank-86, CAPF 2016.
As you all know that hardly 98 days are remaining for this year's Judgement day. This is very very crucial time for you all and if I would recall my preparation days then I could feel your pain for not getting in what way to go?? What to revise and how to revise?? How much time is to give to which section??
So, as per my experience I am sharing my strategy with you all, it have worked for me so I think it could also give you some fruits. So lets start by priority-

1- History-

History always covers a big portion of CAPF's paper. I hope you all have read NCERTs atleast twice. Now, its time to revise it and as per me you have to give your 70% time to ' Freedom Struggle wala portion'. You are expected to know every concepts and also the minute details from this section as- Chairman of important sessions of INC, Peasant movement( किसान आन्दोलन),Labour movement,Role of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and especially the period aftermath 1940 A.D.etc.
Then give you 10% time to the period of 1600 AD- 1857 AD in Modern India. In that also the 'Economic Policy of British', 'Commercialization of Agriculture','Tribal Movement', British Revenue System, Renaissance is very important.
Then give 10% time  to Ancient India, in that the literary works and Arts and architecture is very important.Like who introduced the leather shoes in India? Temple architecture, Stupas, Chaitya, GAndhara Style, Mathura Style etc.
Then give 10% time to medieval India. In that Vijaynagar empire is very important and also the literary works of Medieval Period as well as Arts and Architecture of Mughals, Music and Gharanas etc.

2- Polity

The next priority goes to Polity. But as this is a bulky section you should arrange your priority for it.One positive point is that you dont need any notes for it, 'Luxmikant' is enough.
Give maximum priority to 'Parliament wala Section',understant every concept, every details in a crystal clear manner,e.g.Different parliamentary committees, Bills, Motions etc.
Then 'Judiciary' is important. You are expected to make a list some some important judgement of Supreme Court, UPSC has a tendency to ask from it.Connect it from current affairs as Judicial Activism, NJAC etc.
Do not ignore' Panchayats' as it is very fruitful and 'Fundamental Rights', DPSP(  cram every article).
There is one section called ' Different Constitutional,Statutory and Extra Constitutional bodies' which is undermined many a times by aspirants. But dont ignore this, I know this is very factual but if you dare to dream big then do the big.
Recent Constitutional Amendments are very important , like GST, process of amendment, GST is going to change how many articles and their name etc.

3- Geography and Environment

This section has always been fruitful for UPSC and aspirants hardly get any problems to cover this as plenty of books and materials are available. Recommended books are , new NCERT, GC Leong( only when if you have covered it atleast twice otherwise leave it), Majid Hussain for Indian Geography and Oxford Student Atlas

Revise the concepts of Physical Geography more and more and give yoyr maximum focus to 'Geomorphology'( भूगर्भ) and 'Cimatology' ( जलवायु विज्ञानं). Many a times UPSC asks the ' Match the following wala question' , so for it cram the factual informations like, about the different local winds i.e. Chinuk, Alize, Berg,Brickfielder,Fohn,Halny etc and of the Volcanoes like Mount Tambora, Mt.Merapi, Etna etc.
Cram the names of all Oceanic currents and their locations and properties( with the help of map).
Come to Indian Grography, Indiam Monsoon is very crucial and needs conceptual clarity.
Then India's agriculture, Industries, Resoources are to be focused which could easily be covered by NCERTs. I recommend you all to go for ' GS score upsc prelims 100 days strategy', there there will be pdf day by day.For Indian Geography, there are aboit 18-30 pdfs with new data. You can go for them.
Do practice Asia and Africa on map as these are very crucial for this year.

General Science and Science and Tech-

This section is getting crucial for CAPF exam as I am seeing the trend in previous years'papers. I recommend you all to give your equal focus to all the three sections viz Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
The NCERTs are recommended for this section but You can for Unacademy videos as they have compiled NCERTs well in the 1 hrs or 2 hrs section.
For Science and Tech UPSC asks from Current Affairs..for this Insightsonindia or Ias4sure have given compilation of whole 1 year. You can download them from googling them or can get from market. Focus more on Space Tech,Defence, Biotech, Nuclear etc.

Economy-

UPSC has been asking very less questions from Economy but you cannot trust on UPSC.
If you havent prepare Economy yet, I will not recommend any book then.Just go for Mrunal on youtube and watch its Economic Survey. That would be enough. He has described the things and concepts really well.

Current Affairs-

UPSC is now focusing on Current Affairs on a great scale.Do, dont take it lightly.

For it, I recommend different sources-

1- Defence News are very important. So, India Year Book 2017 is must for this. Dont need to buy this bulky book,  just google IAS Score India Year book and download it.

2- UPSC always asks from Government Policies. So, download Shankar IAS government Policies for it.

3- International organisation and its reports are also important. So download Shankar ias' Indices and Report 'and IAS4sure's 'International Organisation.'

4- For Current Affairs related to Environment , download Insightsonidia's PT 2017 exclusive ' Environment and Ecology'.

5- For recent committes, download IAS4sure's ' Kill the committes'.

5- for Recent Summits of international organisations, download Vision ias' ' PT 365 International Organisation'.

I have tried to give my best. Spelling mistakes could be there as I am working from mobile. If you still have doubts, you can comment.

Thank You,
Assistant Commandant Abhilash
